Stonegate Pub Company enhances parental pay and benefits

Stonegate pub company maternity package

Stonegate Pub Company has enhanced its maternity, paternity and adoption package for its 14,500 employees.

All salaried employees are now entitled to enhanced maternity and adoption pay, comprising 12 week’s full pay followed by 27 weeks of statutory pay. The organisation has also enhanced its paternity provision to two weeks of full pay.

Stonegate has also committed to fully paying all employees in its head office and across its pub estates for time off for fertility treatments.

In addition, salaried employees can take advantage of a phased return to work following maternity or adoption leave. Four weeks before an employee is due to return to work, they will receive full pay for working 50% in the first two weeks of their return, and full pay for working 75% of the week for the second two weeks.

Salaried employees will also be eligible for sickness absence to be paid as company sick pay, four weeks leading up to maternity leave, rather than maternity leave being enforced.

Stonegate’s new package is being supported by additional training for area managers in the form of a guide on how to manage and support maternity, adoption, and paternity leave

Tim Painter, director of HR at Stonegate, said: “This is a significant improvement to the benefits package offered to our team here at Stonegate. These improvements highlight Stonegate’s commitment to recognising and rewarding our people. We understand the value of investing in our people and ensuring we have a fair and diverse workforce that feels motivated. Enhanced maternity, paternity and fertility leave is just one of a number of initiatives that we have introduced which benefit existing employees, and help us find and attract the right people, encouraging them to build rewarding, long-term careers with us, from bar to boardroom.”
