Six years after its launch, technology specialist AND Digital decided its benefits package was in need of an urgent overhaul.
The organisation’s aim was to provide a benefits solution good enough to support staff through a global pandemic, on a platform that would satisfy its high-tech employees.
The solution also had to reflect the organisation’s commitment to diversity and flexibility and meet its key aims. Known as Big, Hairy, Audacious Goals (BHAGs) these included protecting and supporting its 839 employees, reducing the admininstrative burden for HR, and recruiting and retaining talent.

Holly Taylor, people growth lead, AND Digital, said the benefits offering had to appeal to all staff, allow them to choose benefits personal to their circumstances and focus particularly on staff health and wellbeing, given the current climate with Covid-19.
With these requirements in mind, the organisation implemented Benefex’s OneHub in August 2020. Employees can access a range of benefits through the platform, including core benefits of private medical insurance (PMI), life assurance and group income protection, and increase core cover levels or buy other benefits using their annual flex fund of £500, including a car salary sacrifice sheme, health cash plan, gym membership and a bikes-for-work scheme.
Taylor said: “It was really important to us to have benefits in place that would ensure that our people were protected for any worst case scenario, which they could tailor to fit their own priorities. This was where we introduced benefits like life assurance and income protection, and we improved our current private medical insurance offering as well.”
She added: “We named our platform AND Be You as we want our people to not only be themselves, but to be their remarkable selves. The look and feel of AND Be You really captures the essence of our unique culture here at AND Digital. We now have a centralised place for all of our benefits, which has been really, really well received.”
