Gusto Italian expands financial wellbeing package

Casual dining restaurant group Gusto Italian has partnered with automated cloud payroll software provider PayCaptain, as part of a push to get financial wellbeing and awareness higher on its 600 employees’ agendas.

As a result of the partnership, employees are now able to access pay on demand. This includes wage advances, pre-planned savings, and the ability to make payments direct from their net pay, in order to pay loans, credit cards, or rent, for example, as well as sending money to family and making charitable donations.

In addition, staff can access interactive money management tools, interactive payslips, a pensions dashboard, and financial wellbeing guidance.

Gusto Italian has integrated PayCaptain into Yapster, its internal communications channel, with the aim of creating greater flexibility over pay, savings and pension planning.

The organisation has also introduced a new combined auto-enrolment and personal pension plan provider. Collegia directs funds exclusively to organisations with high environmental, social and governance (ESG) scores and stakeholder management metrics.

According to the business, its values are: make a difference, do the right thing, look for the good, and share our passion and knowledge.

Matt Snell, CEO of Gusto Italian, said: “This is a really important move for our business. We want to be a best-in-class employer, and that means working to introduce leading benefits and collaborating with best-in-class partners.

“This investment in PayCaptain means we are transforming what we do in this area for our teams, to a more flexible, engaging, and easy-to-access pay and pension set up. It provides a solution that really benefits our restaurant family.”
