Wellbeing given top priority

Employee health and wellbeing is a top priority in which 70% of employers are keen to invest.

According to a study Attitudes of employers and employees to healthcare issues by LHF, almost two-thirds of employers (64%) offer the main body of their workforce some form of healthcare benefits scheme. However, nine-out-of-ten (87%) of employee respondents believe their employer cares about their health and wellbeing at work. Only 8% of staff believe the government should take more responsibility for their health at work.

The study found that over the next five-to-ten years, 34% of employers believe employees’ health and wellbeing will affect their productivity.
