Over half of accountants unhappy with benefits

Over half (52%) of UK accountants are unhappy with the benefits package offered by their firms, according to Reed Accountancy’s 2008 Salary and benefits survey. However, this was in sharp contrast to the views of employers, where 83% of managers in the accountancy profession believed their employees were satisfied with the benefits they receive. The survey also revealed that salary levels had increased this year on average by 3%.
