DOD’s blog: It’s a goodbye from me

This is my final blog as editor of Employee Benefits. But is it certainly not my final employee benefits blog.

After 16 lovely years at Employee Benefits and Centaur Media I am taking the plunge of working for myself.

From Monday I will be setting up my own media agency for the employee benefits marketplace.

Or, more likely in the first few days, trying to work out how to set up a home office, register a company, find an accountant and wondering why I have started this mad plan!

Never fear, Employee Benefits will be left in very good hands.

The new editor will be Debbie Lovewell-Tuck. She has been with Employee Benefits for 12 years and has been deputy editor since 2007, so is hugely knowledgeable about benefits. I wish her all the best!

Of course I will still be blogging on our industry, so watch out for my musings on LinkedIn and Twitter.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all my colleagues and friends at Employee Benefits and Centaur Media. It has been a fantastic place to work with such lovely people; which is why I stayed way beyond my predicted three to five years.
