Communications organisation Weave has launched a new employer-paid life coaching benefit for its 550 Utah-based employees.
The optional life coaching benefit, provided by WLJ Advisors, will be rolled out for all employees in conjunction with World Mental Health Day on Thursday 10 October 2019; executive and senior leaders have already been able to utilise the initiative.
The programme starts with employees completing a personal questionnaire, which matches them to a suitable coach. Staff then attend online webinars to gain insights on how to get the most from their coaching experience, before they are connected with their life coach for regular monthly sessions.

The new benefit has been introduced, in part, to help Weave attract and retain younger employees, as the organisation has found that these age groups particularly appreciate initiatives focused around development. Furthermore, the life coaching benefit aligns with the organisation’s ethos of ‘people, not employees’.
The coaching programme will operate alongside Weave’s existing employee benefits package, which includes 12 weeks of paid maternity leave, six weeks of paid paternity leave and a parental package featuring a year’s worth of nappies, six weeks of meal deliveries, six weeks of house cleaning services and various baby products.
